8th Annual Hangar Hangout: A Celebration of Aviation, Automobiles, and Community

Over 2,000 spectators, hundreds of car enthusiasts, and eight years of bringing aviation and community together!

On September 12, 2026, the Mississippi Wing of the Commemorative Air Force proudly hosted the 8th Annual Hangar Hangout Car & Aviation Show Presented By Keesler Federal Credit Union at Bruce Campbell Field in Madison, Mississippi.

This year’s event welcomed over 2,000 spectators and hundreds of local car enthusiasts, bringing together families, aviation enthusiasts, automotive collectors, and visitors from across Mississippi and beyond.

From historic military aircraft and exciting aviation displays, to an impressive collection of classic cars, custom builds, and modern performance vehicles, Hangar Hangout offered something for everyone.

At least four different Wings of the Commemorative Air Force were in attendance and actively participating, bringing together historic aircraft, experienced pilots, and dedicated volunteers in a demonstration of our organization’s shared commitment to preserving aviation history.

Guests enjoyed aircraft displays, aviation rides, car exhibits, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to connect with the people who keep aviation history alive.

One of the most rewarding parts of the day was watching younger generations experience aviation up close, meet pilots, and discover the stories behind these remarkable aircraft.

Eight Years of Community, History, and Aviation

Now in its eighth year, Hangar Hangout continues to bring together aviation enthusiasts, automotive collectors, families, and community partners in support of the Mississippi Wing’s mission.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our presenting sponsor, Keesler Federal Credit Union, the City of Madison, our sponsors, participating CAF Wings, volunteers, pilots, aircraft owners, car enthusiasts, vendors, and everyone who helped make this year’s event possible.

Most importantly, thank you to the more than 2,000 spectators who came out to support the Mississippi Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.

Events like Hangar Hangout do more than bring people together for a day of entertainment. They help us fulfill our mission of preserving historic aircraft, honoring those who served, educating future generations, and keeping aviation history alive.

Thank you for making the 8th Annual Hangar Hangout a tremendous success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year! 🇺🇸✈️
